APMG, the certification body for PRINCE2®, provides a globally recognised qualification for all Foundation and Practitioner course participants who undertake and pass the relevant exams.
Lucid IT offers three different PRINCE2® courses:
- PRINCE2® One-Day Overview
The Foundation Certificate, and One-Day Overview Course is available for in-house training on request.
Foundation Certificate Course
The PRINCE2® 3-day Foundation Certificate Course taken on its own is designed for those who are not necessarily aspiring for professional level knowledge but who nevertheless require a sufficient understanding of this project management methodology – such as people working on projects, people initiating projects, business representatives, team leaders, those with an interest in project management or who are considering moving into that field. If you take the Foundation module on its own you may at a later date take the Practitioner module and complete the full program.
The course includes a 60-minute multiple-choice exam. Successful participants will gain the APMG Foundation certificate in PRINCE2®.
Practitioner Certificate Course
The PRINCE2® Practitioner Certificate course is a comprehensive 5-day program that provides participants with an extended theoretical and practical knowledge of PRINCE2®, the non-proprietary best practice model that ensures project delivery is on time, on budget and of high quality. This course educates participants in all aspects of the PRINCE2® methodology, including its practical application. It covers the eight core Components and Processes of PRINCE2® at the most detailed level including all sub-processes and techniques. Exercises are based on a real life case study to ensure that participants learn the practical application of PRINCE2® theory.
The course includes a 3-hour exam. Successful participants will gain APMG PRINCE2® certification. As a pre-requisite, students are required to have passes the PRINCE2® Foundation Exam prior to sitting this Practitioner Exam.
The full 5-day PRINCE2® Practitioner Certificate Program is designed for current or aspiring project management professionals who need to fully master this leading PM method and at the same time obtain a globally-recognised certification. This program is also ideal for anyone intending to become a PRINCE2® Consultant or PRINCE2® Trainer.
PRINCE2® One-Day Overview
The Lucid IT PRINCE2® Overview courses provide participants a high level overview of the methodology in a short one-day course.
Three PRINCE2® Overview courses are available:
- PRINCE2® Overview Plus (one day on PRINCE2® processes)
- Team Members Overview (Operational Focus)
- Project Board Overview (Steering Committee Focus)
While each of the Overview courses holds a different focus, they share a common core of the PRINCE2® theory. Depending on the focus, each course will draw on different aspects of the 8 Processes and some key aspects of the PRINCE2® Components, such as establishing a project organisation.
