Best Practices and Standards
We understand the value of best practices to our clients. It is much more efficient to use best practices as a resource rather than inventing work practices from scratch. The best value is derived when you can use the best practice to solve a problem or requirement from the business, for example; reducing the restore time for outages.
You may also use best practices to satisfy compliance requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley or as a resource for continuous improvement initiatives. The key is to understand the business outcome you need and to take a holistic approach to your improvement initiative as per the diagram below.

Holistic Approach
We source best practices and standards appropriate for the modern IT organisation and its many complexities. As a result of this, and our many years implementing best practice improvements, we have a library of intellectual property that, when selectively applied, will further improve efficiency and reduce risk for your IT improvement project.
We work collaboratively with our clients to understand their context and the value they are seeking from best practices. We then co-create a roadmap for improvement that aligns with the business requirements and the optimum approach for organisational change.
The links on this page describe the practices and standards Lucid IT employs for our customers and how we believe they are best harnessed.
